A Prayer for One Changing JobsA Poem by J Todd Underhill04/11/2024Peaceful departures bring about new beginnings, I watch from a distance seeing my past happen. No more wondering where the pay is coming from, No more worries about drops in business. No more smelling like Willie Nelson’s tour bus. The Weed Wrangler is becoming a Grease Monkey, I know he will excel at this new task at hand. I’m wishing the best of luck on his new endeavor, Though luck is not needed but drive and determination are. Seeing your past within someone else, To me is strange and new indeed. However I know how I turned out, Always trying to be a better man. I am sure He will as well, and all too soon. So I will end this story how it all began. Peaceful departures bring about new beginnings.
