Thoughts on Vacations PastA Poem by J Todd UnderhillNaPoMo Entry 6 04/06/2024The cold Saturday in western Kansas, Underneath the cloudy and foggy skies. Thankful for the blessings God doth grant us, Spring Break vacation such a valued prize. My personal peace found upon the plains, Truly a Flatlander within my heart. The cottonwood trees and old weathervanes, The rooster sculptures and gigantic art. The springtime moon and smokes within the wind, Early morning coffee goes down so smooth. Spending time on the road with my best friend, Resetting my soul and finding my groove. I find myself here whenever I roam, Hopefully soon I can call this place home. 04/06/2024 © 2024 J Todd Underhill |
