Breakfast with CrowsA Story by J Todd UnderhillNaPoMo Entry 30, 04/30/2022The rabbit is dead in the street, The crows and magpies gather. Ready for this breakfast they eat, These poetic words that I blather. This poet has a sausage sandwich, Which appeals more to my taste. Eating with magpies and crows for a switch, Not a single morsel will we waste. Rabbit fluff floating on the breeze, Sunshine breaks over the horizon, I chomp again on my meal then seize, As I find these birds quite mesmerizin’. I finish and grab my coffee and begin my day, After starting it off in a unique way. 04/30/2022 © 2023 J Todd Underhill |
