Empathetic Words for Stephen

Empathetic Words for Stephen

Sadness grips me,

Pure devastation for a friend.

I have walked this path,

Felt this wrath,

And walked through this personal hell.

Funny that this life deals us,

These blows, smiting our soul.

Striking down those good men.

Making us stronger yet empathetic.

I wish I could change the situation.

I cannot.

These tests planned by our creator,

Set us apart to make us greater.

But I still wish that there was anything I can do.

Sadness grips me.

I wish I could take up the pain,

Relieve the strain,

And make everything good once again.

But alas I cannot.

For that I feel a failure,

As a friend, man and human.

Sadness grips me.

We do all we can for our best friends, and yet at times, we know it will never be enough, and that is extremely frustrating...

lot of pain here.

Sometimes all we can do for a friend is to be a friend. I feel the sense of despair in this.
