An April Monday Realization

An April Monday Realization

Radio waves and lost channel static,

Songs sung from beyond the grave,

Entrances that were dramatic,

From defeat pulling out a save.

Of all the bright and sunny May Mondays,

A wink tattooed on my heart for years.

On and on the memory plays,

Always bringing me to the edge of tears.

Memories remain like a wine stain,

Words prayed in desperation.

A smile embedded on this poet’s brain,

Leading to constant elation.

All things come full circle once more,

Yes, all of the numbers are on the wheel.

Rewards for donations given before,

I cannot believe that this life is real.

Lost channel static and radio waves,

My thoughts return to the Monday at hand.

Memory of a memory of a memory now enslaves,

No doubt that everything in life is planned.
