Found Myself

Found Myself

I used to think of work as a grind,

But things have changed with my profession,

And here is this poet’s secret confession,

No better employment I could find.

My days spent aiding people’s dreams,

Marking off bucket lists one at a time,

To me seems so fitting and by design,

Right up my ally or so it seems.

One should reach for their goals,

As silly as it may be to some,

Memories are all you have when the end doth come,

It is your life you are at the controls.

The workday is a grind no more,

I feel I have found myself as a man

Simply doing the best that I can,

Helping others is what I adore.
