Haunted HouseA Poem by J Todd UnderhillNaPoMo Entry 07 04/07/2022There’s a haunted house on Washington Street, Where the lost spirits dwell both day and night. With our which each town would be incomplete, Providing the kiddies with a small fright. The windows are broken the shutters askew, This abandoned house that the kids avoid. In the past decade visitors are few, We don’t want the ghosts to become annoyed. Porch leans to one side, foundations crumble, And the yard has become so over grown. Streetlights burnt our I don’t want to stumble, Guess I will leave this haunted house alone. As the moonlight fade dropping in the west, I walk toward my home becoming less stressed. 04/07/2022 © 2022 J Todd Underhill |
