Vickymatoria’s SonnetA Poem by J Todd Underhill03/29/2022Miracle child born so very small, Such a blessing from heaven above. Heeding and answering a bosses call, Filled with nothing but tenderness and love A Christmastime baby born within May, Both of her great grandmother’s girl for sure. The one and only Victoria Mae, The doctor’s grim forecasts she did abjure. One pound fourteen ounces ready for life, Fighting to be a big girl at the start. Such a treasure for both me and my wife. She certainly has stolen her Granddad’s heart. The living image of ghosts of the past, Victoria Mae growing up too fast. 03/29/2022 © 2022 J Todd Underhill |
