Embrace ChangeA Poem by J Todd UnderhillNon NaPoMo write solicited workCouglin’s Law states
anything is always better, But yet people are
always resistant to change. We’re creatures of
habit living life to the letter; Which unto this
poet seems so strange. Change to me is
just an opportunity, Learning and
adaptation is a quest. Life is just trying
to get through to me, And make me turn
out my best. Underhill’s Law says
push yourself, Comfort zones are
for retirement. New achievements
add to personal wealth, A product of my
youth misspent. The worst phrase,
are the words “I Can’t” For it concedes defeat from the start. The gift of flexibility
you shouldn’t supplant, Keep the curiosity
of a child’s heart. Do not be
resistant to change at all, For you never know
what you may learn. Always rise up to
answer the call, And let your
passion’s fires burn. Embrace the changes
that head your way, And tackle all
challenges with glee. Make yourself a
better person every day, And set your improved
self out to be free. 04/02/2021 J. Todd Underhill © 2021 J Todd UnderhillFeatured Review
