That Friday Feeling

 

 

 

Everything is just fine and dandy;

The world is just as sweet as candy.

My spirit is as high as the ceiling,

I just can’t fight that Friday feeling.

 

The weekend can finally be seen,

Relaxation if you know what I mean.

Just a few hours left to go,

As a warm springtime wind doth blow.

 

Barbeque season has arrived,

Another winter we have survived.

Stealing sunshine from cloudy bleakness,

Summertime to run by just like the Preakness.

 

Setting my sights to enjoy each day,

Embracing life in my own special way.

Letting the sun soak in my skin,

A manic poet with his Cheshire grin.

 

That Friday feeling just doth astound,

A lightness of spirit has been found.

Everything is just fine indeed;

That Friday feeling is just what I need.
