confused. / paranoid schizophrenia

A Poem by Justin J. Sales
"

I wrote this last semester in psychology class and forgot about it... that class gave me alot of wierd thoughts... and this is what came out of it... here ya go...

"

I'm confused,

but ultimately aware of my surroundings.

Pounding cerebrally that my perception

of things are not as they seem

I dream....

of all the things I could have,

I'm so mad, but so sad.

The cookie crumbles in awfully fine pieces.

When it comes time to put them back together

a particle of dust might  resemble...

that one vital piece...

enabling crisis.

Upon placing in this core a virus,

corrupt by nature, it's like....

unintentionally taking in the the common cold or HIV.

you may not even notice it for a while...

still, slowly, it eats you from the inside out.

I'm a paranoid schizophrenic, and this is really neat. It's pretty accurate. "it eats you from the inside out" I loved that line.

Well, if I could spell, I would say this verse is very intriging. But I am not sure how to spell that so..yeah..good work!

Extremely powerful, there's confusion in the person's mind and it feels as if the soul is being broken bit by bit. The narrator is fighting this curse yet understanding it a bit later on. I really like it.

I enjoyed reading it and the emotions pulsating throughout the poem. Thoughtful and yet truthful.
