Anger

Let anger consume you, if that's your desire,
But let me warn you, it won't lift you higher,
Its flames will engulf you, and leave you to burn,
Your mind will get smoky, you'll be unable to learn;

We get so aggravated with all that we see,
We withdraw from the madness, so we can be free,
We refuse to be a part of the plastic world that abounds,
The world of the losers, the users, and clowns;

When injustice surrounds us, we look all about,
We pull at our hair, we scream out and shout,
We scream out for changes, for justice for all,
It seems no one will listen, on deaf ears our shouts fall;

The freedom won't come though, that's what we find,
What we've discovered is that rage makes us blind,
The world keeps on turning just like before,
Now we're part of the problem, we've shut an open door;

We've forgotten there are others that care just as true,
Yes they are out there, looking for someone like you,
By two and by threes, they share rational thinking,
They look for real ways to stop our world from sinking;

Ignorance and hatred will never set our world free,
Just like a wildfire, it will spread from sea to sea,
The water of knowledge is the solution for change,
Can't we all come together, so we can heal this world's mange?
