April 21st Wednesday ServiceA Chapter by ElizabethLosing your hunger for God.
Reading in Numbers:
After the Israelites left Egypt and were wandering in the wilderness: They had no food, so God sent them Manna. Manna means "What is it?" With that, the Isrealites made bread. But soon: Numbers 11:6 But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!" Numbers 11:4 The crowd with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, "If only we had meat to eat! and then they began to say: Numbers 11:5 We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. Numbers 11:31 Now a wind went out from the LORD and drove quail in from the sea. It brought them down all around the camp to about three feet above the ground, as far as a day's walk in any direction. Numbers 11:32 All that day and night and all the next day the people went out and gathered quail. No one gathered less than ten homers. Then they spread them out all around the camp. Numbers 11:33 But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the LORD burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague. Numbers 11:34 Therefore the place was named "Graves of Craving", because there they buried the people who had craved other food. It is important to stay hungry for God. How: 1. Read your Bible--it is important to know what God has and what God is "feeding" you 2. Go to church--be with other people who are learning as well 3. Go to church activities--be with other people having fun 4. Work for God--faith without works is nothing 5. Witness-- tell others what God has done that they might see it with their own eyes through you 6. READ YOUR BIBLE- Get that Word inside of you!!! God wants you to stay hungry for Him. For His word.
