Lush

 

I,ve tried and tried,

I've tried and failed,

It seems im always letting you down.

I barely succeed,

Then when i finally do,

It seems your never around.

 

You come home late,

Drunk and dillusional,

I wish you had a clue.

You never notice,

The scars and effects,

On all the violent things you do.

 

You push, you punch

You think your so tough,

Then you say you'll change.

But you still swing around again,

And im left frightened and scarred,

So i flee out of range.

 

Come and see me, shattered, broken,

In all your anger, all your rage,

From the outside it's quite a show.

Can't you see this is what you put me through,

Look in my eyes,

You'll finally know.

 

Loving, Caring, Joyful and Devoted,

Mother i miss the old you,

And how everything used to be.

Now i wait here for the angels to come,

To comfert me and at last,

Set you free.
