Do you know?

Do you know?

A Poem by Izzie Rohrer

The click of her heels
The flip of her hair,
They don't even dare,
to question her flare,

She walks around,
with a practiced grace,
hiding the pain,
with a smiling face,

No one knows
She cries at night,
or has a terrible fright
when her parents fight.

No one knows She
has scars on her wrist
Tiny little flicks,
that was all it is.

She knows if she
screamed, no one
would hear,

They would go on
with thier years
not knowing her fear,

that she may not wake up,
to be mommies little "dear",
that no one would cry,
a single lone tear

She knows the time
is nigh, when she will
have to say goodbye,

to the silent knowing walls,
that had seen past the lies,
that this young girl had tried so
hard to hide

She won't be missed
She will be forgotten,
She shall never know
the love,  that she should have gotten.

So the next time you see
the pain behind someones eyes
think twice of what may happen,
Don't let them fade and
Die.
