A Poem by IWASNEVERTHERE

I see shadows walking
Hear muted voices and yet see no faces
Please embrace me
Hold me till I feel at one
Do not ignore me
My intellect will forever be one of vices
My mind is often a puzzle
Scattered pieces forming their own little riddles
My very own hydra
Do you not see what I see?
The patterns, the shapes, the hidden meanings
Do you only see in black and white?
Do my actions then not appear grey to you?
Do I not appear insane?
You shield yourself from that which you don't want to know
Do not ignore your puzzle
Ignorance is only bliss to those that are oblivious
Do you perceive me as a modern day Icarus?
Or are my actions purely a form of hubris?
I am merely a boy
My mind fails to fit into the adulthood you pushed me in
Pardon me for not falling
Excuse my illogical actions
I have yet to come to terms with them too
I dream of words
These words later form strategies
Atimes I'm inclined to believe life does imitate art
Yet I'd never label myself an artist
Art even when abstract has meaning
I do not intend to wear the crown either
The king had been crowned by birth
I'm merely a jester
An object of your fascination
