A Poem by IWASNEVERTHERE

She walked with a sadness about her
Gracefully broken
Holding onto the shattered pieces till they formed pearls around her neck
Choking back the words as they leave her mouth
I starred from a distance
You see I've come to learn beauty is better admired from afar
But I swear she was alluring
Pulling me in with non-existent strings untill my nose started to grow the lies I have yet to speak
The names of children conceived within my mind
I was in love
Writing this before the word "hi" had left my mouth
I was that sure
As sure as the letter I wrote my mum aged three telling her I was going to marry the prettiest girl on earth
You smiled and, and I knew I was right
A picture of words written by a three year old
That was when I decided to write you this letter
My heart on the tip of a pen eched onto the memories we are yet to create
All this and we were yet to speak
