A Poem by IWASNEVERTHERE

She wanted more than the world had to offer
So she aimed for the stars
Do you judge her methods?
The truth was never hidden
Search for it at your own risk
The empty capsules might no longer seem strange
Atleast if you're used to them
Pretty faces do not escape pain
The pedestal you built is too high for her to climb
Do you not see the connection?
Is your saddle too high to come to terms with reality?
She is not the fairytale you created
Please accept her apologises
Life came in the way
She would have preferred your fairytale
The frogs she kiss do not turn into princes
Nor do they treat her like men
But love
She craved love
Your lack of understanding is of no help
The snapchat stories only show half the tale
What do you think filters are for?
Do you not hide behind an artificial life?
The pot shouldn't call the kettle high
The stars barely mean anything to the blind
Tears only bring comfort to those that can swim
It is often the bravest that are haunted
Ghosts shouting the "boo" they wish they had
Doesn't it sound glamorous?
Bloodshot eyes on a beautiful face
Dresses highlighting the body she no longer considers home
But she's gorgeous
Is that why you ignore the Amy Winehouse in her Beyoncé?
Pretty faces do not have the luxury of pain
Go out and be happy
Make up the pain away
Dance to the drums of your broken heart
Atleast then you'll only have the demons to put up with
Right?
