A Poem by IWASNEVERTHERE

Can you swim in a shallow pool?
Divide the Intrest amongst the people you forgot to mention
But Ohh this is your moment
The stars aligned with the eyes that deny your existence
Did I forget to mention?
The farmer's daughter that sold her cherry for a price her father's harvest could never achieve
The loss of her stem stemmed from a lust of opulence
Please we're here to live
A life of pleasure
Pleasure me with the thought of your existence
Let me plant seeds so we may harvest forbidden fruits in a space we describe as heaven
This is only our downfall
We begin to associate love with actions mistaken I love you's with filtered meanings as our eyes stare no further than the present
Yet we call this love
Is your skin worth more than a train ride or words you believe will replace the void left by your broken heart?
Broken families tend to be excuses but futile doses prescribed by your very own demise
Did you forget about the flowers you planted?
Shaky hands masked by the mask you wear to hide the fear behind your beautiful eyes
I was hardly a believer
So name your price and I'll pay my fine, lines no longer seem to be a problem
Do we conceive a future for hearts drunk with the promise of Romeos and Juliets?
How easy it is to forget the endings
In the end we plant plans without a blueprint or  excuses but excuse me
I'm just trying to be in love
My farmer's daughter
Will you sell our love for a price or am I right in believing flowers grow in the darkness of our chests?
Will our ribs become shields or flowers destined to wilt?
Willingly you'd sell your share for a share of temporary heaven forgetting all that was promised
Promise me your lies were seeds and I'll see if the price you paid was worth it
You say a pound of gold outweighed my heart giftwrapped with memories and butterflies flapping their tiny wings
Can't you see?
Do their wings not cause hurricanes?
But then again if I'd listen close I'd hear your heart and not your words
My wings would still have their flowers
Water me with lies or truths as long as I don't know which is which
