We Healed

We Healed

A Poem by Ivy

We healed after the cyborgs lost
the battle that we never thought
could or would run at a cost of
the lifeless pawns who only fought
when mother goose and mother earth
were mourning for the king and queen
bishops and knights had lost their worth
to advancements we'd only seen
in books, ghost stories,
and the t.v. screen.

Still, they lost to you and me.

About
Here's my poetry. The good, the bad, the downright horrendous. Take it for what it's worth. If you choose to critique it, be brutal. Poets of interest: William Shakespeare, E.E. Cummings, Sylvia Pla.. more..
