In This World

In This World

A Poem by Ivy

In this world, you cannot talk with words
when Airlings kick their (learned) right in
to Behemoth's (ate) and a Girl's (will sin)
Thumpers called for a great purge
but in this world, you cannot talk with words

Perhaps abroad where bibles burn-
'His' epics all go up in flame
Cachexia bids us to mourn
wealth's (will help) contaminates

In this world, ardor is shot
by (can'ts), by (won'ts), we cannot see
the future, when the young won't read
what began to teach you and me
You said you'd fight, but you forgot
In this world, we're all a big (will not)

About
Here's my poetry. The good, the bad, the downright horrendous. Take it for what it's worth. If you choose to critique it, be brutal. Poets of interest: William Shakespeare, E.E. Cummings, Sylvia Pla.. more..
