First, to Play from the Start

First, to Play from the Start

A Poem by Ivy

First, to play from the start
an unwilling tenant, you preach like spitfire
claws scratching the surface of
what could only be soft.

Dragonesque claws boast rhapsody
words tinged with empty rage
only love through litote
wicked toward prey.

Hessian, at least
dead, pacing
rotting from the head
right down.

About
Here's my poetry. The good, the bad, the downright horrendous. Take it for what it's worth. If you choose to critique it, be brutal. Poets of interest: William Shakespeare, E.E. Cummings, Sylvia Pla.. more..
