Loveless winterA Poem by Olivia Bant
Feels like a winter season
So depressing So lonely Deprived of your attention, consideration Not acknowledging my importance Desperate Feels like I'm begging Pleading, imploring Craving Only for you to love me Do I even count for you? Question Like always there is no answer I find myself in this chill of depression Where each snowflake is like a teardrop Softly landing on my pained heart The stark, barren trees stand as silent sentinels Echoing the emptiness of my loneliness Their branches reaching out like desperate hands grasping for connection Just as the sun struggles to break through the thick, grey clouds Hope often fights to emerge amidst the heaviness my sorrow Casting fleeting rays of warmth that briefly melt the ice that coats my soul In this season, the world outside grows quiet Mirroring the silence within me As I navigate the long, cold nights in search of light, solace and your love But the only thing I find is your loveless © 2024 Olivia BantReviews
