This time is perfect

This time is perfect

A Poem by Ivey

The laugh

The dance

The smile

The eyes,

All of them I can't help but notice,

You hold me close to your body,

As if when you let go the whole world would fall apart,

There is nothing that we can do anymore,

For now, we are alone,

The world has it's back against us,

Refusing to accept our ideas and ways,

But honestly, it doesn't matter in the end,

In the end we are all the same,

Only God can judge us, right?

So why do other people think they can?

It's not fair, nor is it right,

But what can we do?

Except continue in our single dance,

Through the night.
