The Mournful Tale.A Poem by MaximusFrom My Heart Within.
In solemn verse, this mournful tale I spill,
For in my heart, a mother's loss I feel, Oh grief! Like darkest cloud upon my will, And tears, like rivers, down my cheeks doth spill. A woman fair, with tender love bestowed, Her life so full, a guiding light she showed, But now she's gone, her presence in unknown, And I, alone, with empty heart, bemoan. Her gentle touch, a loving warmth it brought, Her voice, a lullaby, forever sought, Yet in the stillness of the night, I yearn, For her sweet whispers, from her lips to learn. With every step, a memory unfolds, A cherished tale, in every corner holds, Her laughter lingers in the air I breathe, Her spirit dances on, though I still grieve. The passage of the years, a cruel mistress, She takes from us, what we hold dear and miss, But though the flame of life may flicker low, The love once shared, forever it will glow. Oh time, you thief, why must you steal away? The ones we love, to turn their night to day, But in my heart, their flame will never dim, For love, immortal, outlasts the night's grim. Though she is gone, her legacy remains, In every laugh, in every joy that reigns, Her wisdom etched upon my very soul, A guiding light, as I, through life, do stroll. So mourn I must, with tear-stained cheeks I'll cry, And in my heart, her memory shall lie, For though her presence may forever fade, Her love, eternal, in my heart is paid.
