When the darkness falls with fear
The shadows dance and whispers near
In the depths of night, souls appear

Their eyes, orbs of an icy hue
Their hearts, cold and void,beat no true
The souls of death, long past and due

Silent scream, echoes on the wind
A mournful cry for what has sinned
Whispering secrets, that truth has pinned

The moon, a sliver, casts its spell
A haunting melody, as darkness fell
In hidden depths, where demons dwell

Their laughter echoes, sharp and cruel
A cacophony of pain, a ghastly tool
They feast on hearts, they play the fool

In the caverns of despair they roam
Searching for love, but finding home
Where spirits are bound, where shadows comb

The clock ticks, as time slips away
Of love's sweet touch, they cannot say
For in their bones, death has its sway

When the darkness falls, they come alive
A twisted dance, where souls strive
To find solace, where shadows thrive

But in the end, their hearts remain
Empty vessels, shackled in pain
For death's cold touch, they cannot feign

And so they wander, lost and forlorn
In the depths of night, where love is torn
Where souls are broken, souls are mourned.

I wanted to shut out all the lights and read this with only a candle to let the words appear.
