Echoes Of The Abby's

Echoes Of The Abby's

A Poem by Maximus
"

This poetry describes the haunted echoes of the abby's.

"
In the depths of the night, where shadows creep,
Lies a place where spirits forever weep.
Amidst the ancient stones, where time has fled,
The haunted echoes of the abby's spread.

Whispers of the past, carried on the breeze,
Tell tales of sorrow, of lost souls at ease.
Ghosts of monks, their chants still fill the air,
Their ethereal presence, a solemn prayer.

Through the crumbling arches, ivy entwined,
The spirits wander, their stories enshrined.
Their footsteps echo, a mournful refrain,
As they search for solace, release from pain.

The abby walls, once grand and strong,
Now stand as ruins, where ghosts belong.
The abby's corridors, a labyrinth of fear,
Where phantoms wander, shedding silent tears.

I drive by or walk by ruins of old buildings, houses, factories, barns and imagine the activity that once held its meeting there.
This makes me do the same...I can see the monks praying, fasting, hoping that somehow all of this can get them closer to God...and at least they have that to lean on...hope.
You made us feel their hearts and spirits.

Thanks a lot my friend 😌
The poem is well written and flows nicely. It's a great read. The imagery brings you to the labyrinth and you can hear the monk's chants.

With love,

Matthew
