True Lies.A Poem by MaximusThis poetry describes the effect and impact of truth and lies in our lives.
Upon the stage of life, truth and lies dance,
In a ballet of deception, chance and romance. Truth, pure and bright, like the morning sun's glow, Lies, shrouded in darkness, their true face they don't show. Truth stands tall, its voice clear and strong, Lies slither and twist, weaving a song. Yet, in the heart's theatre, they both play their part, In the drama of life, they're both an art. But beware, dear friend, of lies' sweet allure, Its melody enchanting, its promise sure. For truth, though sometimes bitter, sets you free, While lies, though sweet, in chains will keep thee. So choose, dear friend, between truth and lies, In the grand play of life, be wise. For the truth, though harsh, is a loyal friend, While lies, though sweet, lead to a bitter end.
