The Last Supper.A Poem by MaximusThis poetry provides a brief description of the famous Painting The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.
In the hallowed hall, a table set for twelve,
A gathering of hearts, a story to delve. The Last Supper, a tale of love and betrayal, A poignant saga, in every detail. In the dimmed light, a man of humble grace, With love in his eyes, and sorrow on his face. He broke the bread, shared the wine, His words echoing, 'This is the last time.' 'One of you will betray me,' He said, A chilling silence, a sense of dread. With a heavy heart, they looked around, In the room filled with love, suspicion found. In the midst of them, a traitor's kiss, A painful reminder of fleeting bliss. Yet, He forgave, for He knew the reason, Love's ultimate sacrifice, in the season. The Last Supper, a tale of love and pain, A testament to hope, in life's disdain. In every sip, in every bite, An enduring message, of love's might. The Last Supper, a lesson to us all, In love's great power, and pride's fall. So remember, when you break the bread, The message of love, that He spread.
