The Departed Souls...

This poem describes the sadness of two Departed Souls who loved each other.

In the realm of departed souls, so deep,
Where broken dreams are sown, not reaped.
In love with sadness, they weep,
In the abyss of despair, they leap,
Yet in their hearts, their sorrows, they keep.

Their dreams, once vibrant, now are shattered,
Their hopes and joys, now tattered and battered.
Yet with every tear they've shed,
And every word of despair they've said,
They've painted their sadness, colorfully spread.

Oh, departed souls, why do you mourn?
Why do you wear the cloak of sadness, so worn?
Your dreams may be broken, it's true,
And your world may seem devoid of hue,
But remember, in darkness, stars are born.

So, embrace your sadness, let it flow,
In the river of tears, let it grow.
For in the heartache and the pain,
In the thunder and the rain,
There's a rainbow of hope, waiting to show.

Departed souls, don't lose your way,
In the darkness, don't let your dreams sway.
For even in the deepest night,
There's a star, shining bright,
Guiding you towards a brand-new day.

There’s a whole new world out there. I read this as a beautiful poem of hope, not an ending, but then I am an optimist. Lovely stanzas. Most enjoyed.
