Giant's Playground

This poetry describes the sadness of people with short height.

In the land of the tall, the short ones weep ,
Their dreams are high, but their reach is steep.
The world, a giant's playground, a towering keep,
Where the ceilings are high and the shelves are deep.

In the mirrors, they gaze, their reflections slight,
In the shadow of giants, they fight their fight.
Their world is a jungle, a perpetual night,
Where the sun is a dream, just out of sight.

Oh, the sadness of the short, their silent plea,
To touch the stars, to be finally free.
Their hearts are large, as large as the sea,
But their height is a prison, from which they can't flee.

In the crowd, they vanish, lost in the sea ,
Their voices drowned, their spirits plea.
In the land of the giants, they wish to be,
Tall as the mountains, strong as a tree.

Yet, in their hearts, a fire does burn ,
A fierce determination, a will to turn.
Their height may be short, but they will learn,
To reach the stars, for which they yearn.

Their sadness is deep, their sorrow profound,
In the land of the tall, they are bound.
But their spirit is strong, their courage sound,
In the face of giants, they stand their ground.

So, here's to the short, their silent fight,
Their dreams of the day, they'll touch the light.
In the land of the giants, they're out of sight,
But in the land of dreams, they're the ones who write.

So smile, my friend, though you are slight,
In the realm of dreams, you are the knight.
Your height may be short, but your spirit is bright,
In the end, it's the heart that takes flight.
