I Know Better

I Know Better

A Poem by Neisha Ann

Our cars crash,

our ships sink,

our trains collide,

but that ain't enough

to separate you and I.

You see no matter how

much damage is done,

it is never permanent.

We'll remain dedicated

until we come up with

a solution to repair it.

Always and forever

I am on your side

like Nationwide

insurance, this is my

assurance to you & if

these words are not

enough, call my bluff

cause you are all I ever

think of.

In the midnight

hour, when I should be

asleep, I'm thinkin' 'bout

you and all that we have

achieved. We'd be crazy

if we let it all go to waste

& I dare you to tell me to

my face that you don't feel

the same, cause by now...

I know better.

Sometime knowing better mean we won't repeat the same mistakes. I like the thoughts and the strong ending. Thank you for the excellent poem.
