Lock and KeyA Poem by ChelleA series of thoughts that comes along when being randomly pursued in a romantic sense, especially if his intentions reflect more than just attraction.
Piercing eyes
Linger over my body His lips speak sweet words Yet I have no need to gaze Upon his pupils To find the hunger within Oh, do keep talking, sir Do tell me of my "beauty" While you continue to stare Upon my legs, then my face, then whatever other portions of my body - when I turn my head. While you attempt your pursuit, I'll forever question your "real" intentions. Do you take me for a fool? Do you really believe I'll Swoon at the touch of your fingers grazing against my arm? Try again, mate. My heart has long been Locked away inside A sanctuary guarded By troubled memories. Charm alone won't do much good to find the key. Better luck next time.
