Lesson LearnedA Poem by ChelleA poem involving infatuation a girl has with a guy over the internet miles away~She sees him in the screen On the other side miles away Gazes upon those tempting Hazel eyes Craves the warmth of that Smile In the flesh She wants to believe in him But what’s there to believe When little to no faith Is what he holds “Don’t get your hopes up in the clouds…” He whispers her name urgently She adores the way He gently speaks her name “…I don’t want to shoot you down” He warns her Yet she still remains tempted To keep believing To dream of his face To close her eyes and find him To sink deeper into a world Where she can be with Him The ground greets her In a sudden crash Reality shakes Awakening her Destroying the dream As she continues to watch Him Upon the same screen Listening to his voice Her heart cringes with each Smile Glance Word Spoken While her mind silences Each little beat Purging the infatuation Ridding its disease © 2013 ChelleAuthor's Note
