Forest of GreenA Poem by Eli
Standing before a forest of green,
Ever decaying the more I see. Gathering my thoughts, Composing my shots, This is home to me. Legs outstretched, One before the other. Bewildering eyes, Gazed upon the lover. This was once a refuge, A stronghold for rest, A place I now detest. All those missing pieces, Gather together in a field of leeches. Gouged into what used to be sunny beaches, Lightening the load, To fill with power trip speeches. © 2017 Eli |
