You're Everything I Never Wanted

You're Everything I Never Wanted

A Poem by SimplyLove50

...and so much more. For me, you were there to open so many doors. I learned from you, what I could never forget. To be myself when times look their darkest. I learned to love, and open my heart. But mama didn't raise no fool, she showed me where to start. My love was unconditional and my heart pure. But it was my mind that taught me how to even the score. I never thought I could love someone for loving me. But you were specially wrapped, and a gift under my tree.

Nice flow, interesting format. It was like reading a poem within a story. I love the ending.

Oh! Yay! Thanks! I actually came up with title before I wrote the poem. And it ended up kind of sweet. Most of my poems people say are sad, so this is one of my firsts happy ones. Anyway, thanks!

Hey! I'm Kirsten! I write mostly poetry, but for a while I was trying to write songs. It didn't really go quite how I planned so now, I stick to poetry. Most of my poems aren't really happy, so...that.. more..
