Fingers

Fingers

A Poem by Isolophobe
"

That feeling of knowing no one knows you better than yourself...plus a bit more alienation.

"

I can only be so many things to so many people

I can count on my left hand how many of the ones

I know who take interest in me

And still have one finger left to give you a thumbs down

For your on going efforts to compete with yourself

While claiming it is me

One to say "f**k you" with

For not knowing me

Or for convincing yourself that you do

And thinking your criticism might be fueled by

The very compassion you lack for me

For thinking you're better than me

When the comparing is as frivolous as communication between us

One to index the places the moon lost pieces of it self

When you ask me to show you what my life wil lbe like in 5 years

Or the limit we'll never exceed, let alone meet, where the sky married outer space

And pretends it too doesn't some times get bored of the same company

When you ask me why our friendship

Much more dull than you're willing to accept

Or the space between you and me

When you ask me to show you my favorite place in the world

Or where I want you to be

As opposed to next to me

When you ask me whats your place in this world

One that will never have a ring on it

Because none of you are aware that friendship makes a relationship

Last

And one to show you the real size of any man's dick who

Says its the size of any other finger or longer

Or put a ring on so my hand weighs nearly as much as it would

If I were able to hold your hand

Which leaves me with...

No one.
