Remember me...please

Remember me...please

A Poem by Isolophobe
"

I have to edit this later, uh yea

"

Remember me for saying this

Remember me as the man who made a statement in his seat

Because everyone else stood up for nothing

For trying to depress you so that you can understand why you're alive

For providing a counterarguement to psychoanalytic theory

A virgin at twenty, f**k you Freud, you hear me?!

For being her best friend though I fell in love with her

For putting myself on a pedestal so I wouldn't be another peg on your stepping stool

For sitting motionless like a stone but crumbling when a women says Hi to me

For saying I cry not because I did, but because I do

For saying I'd love because I know I have the potential to

For trying to make you smile by saying what made me cringe

For saying that

For repeating myself

For admitting I need your help

For being man enough to say I'm not very masculine

For acting like a father with no kids and not parading around

Pompous like some teenager who wants to be seen shirtless

Remember me as a woman who nearly died after being burned

And said "F**k Paris Hilton, I'm hot!"

Not because she was still inflamed

But because she understood the subjectivity

In our ability to state objects retain any beauty

Remember me for saying I'm clinically depressed

For saying that I still cry

For repeating myself

For letting you know theres no emptier feeling

Than waking up in a bed as unfulfilled as you

Remember me for being everything you're not

Or at least saying it

If not, then I'm not doing my job

But at least I'm saying it
