Gnosis

when I pray
you know that I believe
my faith’s the shore
gathering up your sea

but beyond the garden wall
I only glean
lustrous flowers
just outside my reach

now in my meditation
we commune
you bring me past
the garden’s edge

into your house
to sit with me
and from your fountain
slake my thirst

arraying me in colors new
to drench my soul
because your love
allows me in

because
you let me Know
