In the mountain pond
lilies crown their noble stalks
spread their leafy robes
as green and darkened jewels
fathoms deep were my loves eyes

I am also a lover of Monet’s water lilies in all the various shades of light and dark. This is beautifully penned Isola. I have a Monet print of water lilies on my dining room wall. Last two lines, so packed with imagery.
