The Way of The Sage

The Way of The Sage

A Poem by Isola

Poet’s laurel crowns every sage
unwinding the serpentine skein of thread
that weaves the many colored cloak
of metaphor’s fine and mystical web

Lacing dunes of ribboned sand
into the fleeting thoughts of man
waves of ocean that ebb and flow
our sorrows and joys that come and go
and sunny beams to radiantly pour
outward from the human heart

revealing One omnipotent light

Your poem is truly beautiful and thought-provoking. I love the way you celebrate the power of language and metaphor to capture the richness and complexity of human experience. The image of the poet's laurel crowning every sage is especially striking, and it reinforces the idea that language is a powerful tool for exploring the mysteries of the human experience. I also appreciate the way you use language to capture the fleeting and ephemeral aspects of life, as in the image of lacing dunes of ribboned sand into the fleeting thoughts of man. The final lines, "and sunny beams to radiantly pour outward from the human heart, revealing One omnipotent light," add a sense of spiritual depth to the poem, and they suggest that language can be a way of revealing the deep truths of the human experience. Overall, your poem is a well-crafted and evocative work that celebrates the power of language and metaphor in a unique and powerful way🤗.
