Verity

Verity

A Poem by Isola

Death
folded my wings

now higher
I soar

past mountains

rivers

and hidden things

I too am hidden

‘tween flowers
and grasses

songs children sing

and tree blossoms
dispersed in Spring

I shelter you
in heat

and rain

adorning you
in fragrances

from the garden
of Infinity

the breath
of Summer’s kiss

or a wind
that hurries past

You do not see me

though never

have I left

you

This, actually in a way, is a really uplifting piece of writing. In death, even after passing, we can continue to be present in the world. The imagery is brilliant too.
