MirageA Poem by Isola
I tried to hold
the misty breath of wind When I sang to her she offered me a pantomime Her lovely notes I played upon my reed but her melody I could not hold and like a bow of light she disappeared Nothing can we call our own since the rupture of the cord and loss of blood that tossed me as a stone into this world of clouds and sand that swiftly pass running through our fisted hands Nature beckons and allures on pathless paths to learn her words that lead us to the Waters of our soul There the fruit of Knowledge will be found moving past the language of our minds returning us to what we left behind All else here is simply a mirage © 2023 Isola |
