A Poem by Island Hippy

I am a traveller
from all around
I’ve walked every,
foreign road
hard, dusty, &
sometimes cold
tarmac and gravel
to golden shores

I am a traveller
from the foothills,
to concrete castles
with their neon charms
I’ve seen you there,
‘pon every rambling path
where dirty alleys spill blue
was it a Muddy Waters tune?
I can’t quite remember

I am a traveller
now more colorful
and earthy with life
my eyes misty with joy
found ‘once upon a time’
finally home.

Mahalo. Have fun and be safe my friend.
What a wonderful post, the word 'serene' comes to mind.. and remains. You write so delicately, thoughtfully.

Past and present flowing gently along, knowingly aware of everything past and now, sweet now ,happy with home, where your heart snuggles contentedly. How can you be otherwise, Izzy.. You've travelled land, sailed oceans.. and now, dear you, have found safe haven.

What we all pray for but ... Love you lots. Em. Kissy kissy. baby boy.

A joyful piece for developing and imbibing the nature of other cultures and customs but happy with home. Though it might talk in the metaphor of life itself and the birth of new life too. Nice and thought provoking Izzy.
