Poetry angels

Poetry angels

A Poem by Island Hippy
"

For my poetry angels Emmajoy & Annette Pisano Higley .... with aloha.

"

I was lost in
the wilderness
of me, then
you drifted
in so gently

in messages
and poetry
in italic script
and wisdom
filled things

lifting me up
with kindness
pouring hope
into my dark
empty spaces

for you knew
there were
better days
to come, & I
found my smile

your warmth
washed over me
like the promise
of quiet, under
a tomorrow sky

where poetry
angels write
I sip words &
suddenly they're
here next to me.

this is such a well said tribute to places like the Cafe' ... it lifts my own heart up to know that this has been your experience here .. the form is unique and creative having strength in 5 line verses ... yet it is free :) reading the frist two verses and getting to "things" ..i stopped to ask myself ..what did that rhyme with ..as the rhythm was so smooth it felt like that last line rhymed ..how cool! the Angels you mention certainly deserve such recognition ... we give pieces of ourselves and splash them all over the place and when someone picks some of them up and are blessed ...well...writing and sharing are well worth it ..nice one Ms. Hippy
peace and joy!
