For my poetry angels Emmajoy & Annette Pisano Higley .... with aloha.

I was lost in
the wilderness
of me, then
you drifted
in so gently

in messages
and poetry
in italic script
and wisdom
filled things

lifting me up
with kindness
pouring hope
into my dark
empty spaces

for you knew
there were
better days
to come, & I
found my smile

your warmth
washed over me
like the promise
of quiet, under
a tomorrow sky

where poetry
angels write
I sip words &
suddenly they're
here next to me.
