Aloha ohana! Your poem describes so well the transition-place we find ourselves in at watershed times in life. The move to the unknown...."I am changing...less and less sleep"- I am in that place now and your poem strikes such a true chord!
Mahalo, love your comment! I hope the transition is smooth ohana x

Oh big changes ohana! Hopefully the unsettlement becomes contentment soon
"I am changing
less & less asleep
different now than
when I began"
I feel we change every day. As the day changes, so do we. Perhaps we're adaptable to the changes around us...
A new day brings hopes and positive vibes....
You say a lot in so few words. I like that.

I'm glad I persevered though. Mahalo always for your time.

I spent 13 years of my life in another city, only to have to settle in another city all of a sudden. The change of environment, people, everything was too much to take in at first. And I still miss my old place..
You're welcome. I enjoy your writes 😊
"Merlot distractions " ..who has not felt them ...but its your closing that i especially like ..she picks herself up from the "grogs" and sets her feet towards the new day ... very courageous and responsible .. i think your poem hints of more .. but i do not ken between your lines ... but there is a lot going on there says i!

Without darkness, how would we ever know we are in light? When there is no reason, we suffer, but the most beautiful feeling is when we notice that change within us and can actually see light at the end of the tunnel. Hope, optimism, purpose....reminds us that even the littlest flicker can become the brightest flame.
Beautifully captured.
