The Dark Night

I gaze into the dark night decorated with stars that sparkle like bubbles from fine wine poured into a chilled glass.

The longer I stare the closer I feel to this magical darkness,

The dark night, filled with night breeze embodies me like a blanket,

I feel surrounded by it.

I look to my right, I see the glittering stars, I look to my left I see the same.

Like a face that comes back to scare me if I dared to look away,

I attempt to count the stars one by one.

But every time I attempt to do so,

Even more reveal themselves like grains of sand that go deeper with each gentle step.

I haven't stared into the night sky for a long time but love how it sparkles and changes the longer you stare at it. This is a very nice poem and makes me long to see those sparkling beauties again. I love your comparing them to bubbles in wine :)
