Just imagine, let the mind wonder off....

She gazes up in the sky, her mind runs off into another world,

She thought she was the only one, but there was another girl.

‘’How could I be so stupid and so blind?’’

Too far in love, my own reasoning I could not find.

 

She feels the cold mist swift through the air,

Her soaked clothes and wet hair.

Smeared make up and tears streaming down,

All this time, her big smile was just a hidden frown.

 

She shivers and wipes her face,

Only wishing she was in another place.

She needed her own space,

Her own time to heal and misery to embrace.

 

‘’How could he?’’

‘’How could she?’’

‘’What were we?’’

‘’Were we really what I thought we ought to be?’’

 

Thoughts rush in like a huge waves upon a quiet island paradise,

It was only now she would realize.

Her heart was not something to utilize,

Better yet for a stranger to play around with and negatively scrutinize.

 

I have to be strong,

Know my right from wrong.

Even though it’ll take long,

The ending will be like the best part of a beautiful song.
