To be or not to beA Poem by KantuJust a mope-ish story about this mornings happenings. Was replaced by another person on my cooking team.A stifled cry A single tear drop . . . dropping Then three more They are all stopped by the same beige colored tile With a pink tint that is the Walls of the ladies room Both hands firmly pressed against trembling lips Lips that are infamous for always wearing a smile The same lips that spoke positivity to people Who could not repeat the same to her Gentle and waiting ears that are bothered by the Casual sound of someone flushing the toilet two stalls down Then footsteps and running water Time seems to drag on. A time prior to this not long enough The cause of her heartstrings being pulled Was not enjoyed as long as she would’ve liked An ending that came too soon To something too great, even for her. Her brown eyes were squeezed tightly shut. A futile attempt to stop her tears That had started streaming down her cheeks Her nose dripped and her legs shook Her only thought “It was not to be”
